I know there have already been a lot of posts today, and I don't want to run out ahead of what people can keep up with, but I must post about the narrative at the end of 4b onto the top of 5a about the Angel of Death and his hapless messenger. Long story short, the messenger is told to bring a certain Miriam for "collection" and brings the wrong Miriam and (here's the really funny part) they decide to kill her anyway! Ha ha. Okay, it's not funny. I don't know what it is. I don't know what to say about it...just read it.
The gemara rocks.

But how do they make up for their mix up? They give the years that Miriam is supposed to have to a young rabbi. Nice job perk!
